For the 4-9 readers

Well, I thought I'd say something without actually saying something. I've run out of interesting (and uninteresting) things to say. I've thought about posting about new movies like Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit or Batman Begins. But everyone should/has/will see those. Nothing is funnier. . . more funny. . . funnier. . . More entertaining that a rabbit in an English accent asking for cheese. Maybe it's my juvenile sense of humor but I laughed. Then I thought about the new MxPx CD. But no one cares about my critically acclaimed CD/movie/pop reviews. "Drink Coke while watching Wallace & Gromit and listening to MxPx!" . . . Just can't see it. Well then I thought I'd turn to the world of sports. I lost in Fantasy Football, the Vikings beat the Packers, the White Sox are in the series, and the Packers lost to the Vikings . . . It's balanced, so I can't post on that. I also thought about asking and then telling people that anonymous posting is no longer allowed but then I'd be a jerk. So if you're posting anonymous put your name with the post or better yet. . . Get a blog. Well, what about obscure topics? Flatulence-academia is the only thing I could think of? But then it occured to me, " I may have just made a word up." I also couldn't come up with any good material for that idea-r (sic). All of that to say this,

". . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Nothing "

No post for a while

Sorry guys (I'm including my 1.3 women readers too) I haven't posted in over a week . . . 8 days . . . I've been rather busy playing Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory . . . Simply put: GREAT GAME! Well, maybe I'll write a review after I beat the game. Hold up; that was a review. . .
I thought I'd do one of my critically acclaimed CD reviews. I was annoyed last week that Wal-Mart (which sucks) didn't have the new LA Symphony. So I decided I would take a day to myself and travel to The Loot. I mean Duluth. My first inclination about where the new Symph would be was obviously Best Buy . . . I hit the jackpot there. That is my new favorite store (replacing Champ's). For real. . . They have a wide variety of Christian CDs. They even have the older stuff. . . sadly enough not the Original TFK- "Set it Off". But back to my review.

The CD has a few good themes for songs. They aren't even the typical rap-themes. . . You know guys and their healthy relationships with their moms & other women, their work at improving inner-city life and how they wisely invest their money. Oh wait, those aren't rap themes at all. But the themes LA Symphony "discusses" are how a house isn't a home without Mom and Dad being there; that a good, caring father is what influences a child. It's actually in a few songs. They crew even wrote an entire song about it, it's called "Pop's Song". Another theme is that through God all things are possible. The most prominant example of that is "Rise". One of the fellows describes how he found out he had a disease. He talks about the pain of having needles being injected in his back, the scars on his arms from the shots, and eating through a tube. He also discloses how he had to depend on God when they told him he may die. It just tugs at your heart. . . At least mine. The final theme is fans & their (the fans) attempts to give the LA Symphony advice, lyrics, and beats. You'd have to listen to it to appreciate the whole thing. Well all-in-all the CD has some great parts and some not-so-great parts. . . We'll call them good parts. So I would give the CD a 8.9 but because of the content it pushes it to a 9.3. It's worth buying. Until next time . . .

Interest

Well Peeps this weekend was a good one and a bad one. I will admit I was a bit annoyed yesterday with some facts I must accept in my life. 1. Our Wal-Mart here in Hibbing sucks since they don't(won't) carry the new LA Symphony CD. 2. The Christian section of music moves around more than a traveling circus and is so disorganized that if you were to find it you couldn't find the CD you're searching for. and 3. I'm the only person who goes to a Thousand Foot Krutch concert wanting to hear their best stuff . . . . "Set it Off" (original) and "The Art of Breaking". Well, I know some people are asking why the original . . . ?

Let me give you an analogy. It's like the original Star Wars Trilogy: No special edition, digitally Re-mastered Non-Hayden Christianson ending version compared to the new ones that came out on DVD. Either way, they played "Puppet" which was excellent. I was hoping for "Small Town" but apparently I was the only one who'd ever heard it. Everyone looked at me when I screamed "PLAY 'SMALL TOWN'!" They didn't. But I did get to hear the sweetest song ever by them. . . "Breathe You In". It is totally sweet and not in that girly way either.

I also embarrassed people at Starbucks (in some downtown Mpls. mall) when I heard a Bob Dylan CD playing and I "proudly" claimed "Bob Dylan is from my home-town." There was instantly a 15-foot away rule instituted on me by my fellow Hibbingonians. .

All-in-all the cities was awesome . . . Wal-Mart sucks straws and TFK is KILLER!!!

What ever happened to . . .

Well the title says it all. I'm going to wonder what happened to a few people who were prominent figures at some point in time and let you all listen in on my thoughts. The first one that I can think of is Mikey from Life cereal. There was the rumor that he ate a package of Pop Rocks and drank a Coke (good choice) . . . . . . . And then died. Well the Mythbusters busted that myth. So . . . . What happened to our little friend Picky Mikey? Did he really die in some sort of bizarre Roller-Disco accident? Did the life of being rich cause him to change his name to Michael?
I guess the second one(s) on the list is the Lady who asked "Where's the Beef?" We all know the commercial. . . Huge bun; little burger. She wants to eat the meat. Did she ever find the large hamburger she was looking for? There's only one place to find it . . . It's a question for the ages.

And finally, Who here (here- a figurative term used to signal cyber space) remembers the children on "Family Matters"? Well there was Eddie, Laura, Richie, Urkel, and the youngest daughter Judy. Well a few years into the show she disappeared . . . They never explained that one. She's there one day, gone the next. Nobody cared? They didn't even mention her in conversations. Was she locked in Al Capone's vault after opening it? Can we go view her today? I want answers people . . . To take a Dale Gribble stance here: Are all of these government cover-ups? I want to know. But since I'm all for gov't cover-ups, I can't say.

New Template

Let me know what you think . . . Miami Hurricane enough? I tried to not over do it. If the response is negative I can switch back. So let me know what you all think . . . I mean all of you!

In light . . .

Today was a sad day for me. I had to sit and watch one of my dogs die. His name was Cujo . . . If I explained his life story you'd understand. He's had a cough for about 2 years now, so today when he started coughing I thought nothing of it. I came home from buying a leash and he was acting a little weird. He was sitting in a corner and rolling around. I didn't know he was having ceizures. So he went to his favorite spot. I went to check on him a few minutes later and he was laying there dead. It was sad to see. It really puts life into perspective. I mean just how quickly it can end. Well now he's gone and the house is too quiet. I miss the "Hack Hack Hack" then followed by the "rrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr bark bark bark."
